It is not just Hollis Cobb executives who play golf to raise funds for local healthcare facilities. Members of the Operations Staff will join in the 22nd Annual Charles B. Eberhart Memorial Golf Classic on October 3. This year’s classic, which benefits the DeKalb Medical Foundation, will take place at the Hawks Ridge Golf Club in Ball Ground, Georgia. The championship course, located in scenic North Georgia, is a popular venue for autumn fundraising events like the DeKalb Medical Foundation golf classic.
Hollis Cobb Director of Earlyout Operations, Joshua Best has organized a team which includes Collection Manager, Corey Henry, Collector Damian Edwards and DeKalb Medical physician, Dr. Michael Waldman. Hollis Cobb Associates is serving as a Silver Birdie Sponsor in this year’s golf classic, and is proud to support the DeKalb Medical Center Foundation in its efforts to raise funds to improve the healthcare facilities and better serve the patient population.
Made up of 110 members, most of whom are volunteers, the foundation includes hospital employees, physicians, and Board members. The purpose of the foundation is to improve the availability and quality of healthcare in the community. Joshua said that he and his team are excited to take part in this worthy cause, and are looking forward to having a little fun at the same time.
Proceeds from this year’s Charles B. Eberhart Memorial Golf Classic will benefit a special campaign entitled, “Building the Future of Emergency Medicine; When Every Second Counts.” The purpose of the campaign is to upgrade the DeKalb Medical Center Emergency Department at the North Decatur Road location. The ultimate goal is to ensure that evaluations and care are administered more efficiently to impact more lives.
The upgraded Emergency Department is slated to feature a “super-fast track” check-in for urgent care patients, and a separate immediate care area for patients experiencing stroke, heart attack or other life threatening symptoms. This planned admissions process, streamlined for effectiveness, will provide patients more privacy and quicker coordinated care upon arrival in the Emergency Department.
The leadership, management and staff of Hollis Cobb Associates are active in their communities, and enjoy taking part in activities that support our clients as well as the patients we serve in Georgia and throughout the U.S.
