Everything is bigger in Texas, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) conference this week is no exception. Three Texas HFMA chapters – Gulf Coast, Lone Star and South Texas – have pooled their resources to produce the HFMA Texas State Joint Conference.
The largest HFMA conference in the State of Texas will offer 18 continuing education credits to the 300 healthcare professionals slated to attend. Hollis Cobb Associates is proud to support this educational effort by being a Silver Sponsor for this event. Alisha Green, Vice President of Sales and Scott Tucker, Sales Director in the Mississippi office will man the company’s exhibit at this annual event held at the Hyatt Regency Conference Center in the Texas state capital of Austin.
Along with offering promotional gifts to the attendees, the Hollis Cobb team will participate in a scavenger hunt game designed to allow business partners an opportunity to introduce their service offerings while giving providers a chance to win exciting prizes. Hollis Cobb will also be one of the sponsors hosting the Red, White and Brew evening in which all participating exhibitors have either craft beer or red or white wine at their booths for attendees to sample.
The event is not all fun and games, however, as well-known and highly regarded experts in a variety of healthcare fields will be on hand each day to address the biggest challenges of the day from finance to technology to the impact of the election.
Hot topics in the revenue cycle include: the ever present challenge of Managing Denials; knowing When and What to Outsource; Maintaining Revenue Integrity and living in the world of Bundled Payments. Sessions addressing physician concerns include the ongoing challenge of MACRA; Retail Medicine and Physician Integration.
Healthcare professionals in the finance world will receive updates on Medicare; 340B and Tax Exempt Status issues. Technology topics will include sessions addressing Cybersecurity and Healthcare Analytics. Other sessions will address current issues of the day including Patient Satisfaction; Managing the Millennials; Innovation in Healthcare and a Legislative Update.
The Hollis Cobb Team plans to entertain both existing and prospective clients at the Texas conference while learning more about the greatest challenges faced by Texas healthcare professionals today. Hollis Cobb offers many solutions from pre-registration support on the front end to bad debt collections on the back end, and conferences like this joint event in Texas help our team discover new ways to assist our clients in more effectively managing their revenue cycles.
