Shellye Cummings joined the Hollis Cobb team in 2008 after being recruited by CEO, Greg Hocutt. The two worked together at another agency in Alabama. Recognizing Shellye’s talent, along with needing another Crimson Tide fan in Georgia, Greg brought her on as a collection supervisor. Over the years she has advanced to various management positions and to her current role as Senior Director of Operations.
Shellye is a favorite among Hollis Cobb staff and clients alike. There is never a dull moment at Hollis Cobb when Shellye is in the building. Along with overseeing inventory and process control in the Operations Department, she is known for jumping in and assisting any department where needed to ensure success for every client. She holds a CPAR certification through HFMA as well as the Data to Insights designation from the Wharton School of Business. Shellye is also fluent in Spanish.
With over 20 years’ of experience in the industry, Shellye’s wealth of knowledge is a valuable resource for all teams at Hollis Cobb. When not working, Shellye spends time with family. She also loves reading, hiking and taking care of her 20 animals including cats, dogs, chickens and a pond full of Koi fish.
