Demetruis Whitfield has excelled in his work with the Patient Access team at Hollis Cobb, and as a result, was recently promoted to a Patient Access Manager position overseeing client projects in Georgia and Ohio. He has been with the company for three years, starting as a Coordinator, quickly moving up to Specialty Coordinator and on to his new position as Patient Access Manager. Before coming to Hollis Cobb, Demetruis was a manager in radiology pre-certification at a healthcare facility.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Demetruis moved to Georgia to join Hollis Cobb for an opportunity to grow professionally. “After graduating college,” he explained, “I wanted to work on the administrative side in healthcare, because I felt that I would be most effective in this area with assisting patients with getting the treatment that they need.” Demetruis holds numerous certifications including Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Patient Accounts Representative (CPAR) and Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
“I enjoy making sure all of my patients are getting the treatment they need in the fastest capacity available,” Demetrius said adding that in his new position, his main goal is “to continue to build and oversee a very strong team that shares my dedication to patient care.” When not working with his team at Hollis Cobb, Demetrius had two words for how he spends his extra time – “Roll Tide!”
The entire team at Hollis Cobb looks forward to great things from Demetrius as he continues to use his expertise to help the company’s Patient Access Department expand and achieve excellence for clients all over the U.S.
