Marketing Specialist
Looking for a new challenge, Maxine Wilson brings her three decades of healthcare experience to Hollis Cobb joining the team as a Marketing Specialist. When VP of Business Development, Alisha Green, heard Maxine was looking to try something new, she jumped on the opportunity to bring Maxine into the Hollis Cobb family to help the company share the newest front end service offerings with the healthcare world. Serving as a brand ambassador for Hollis Cobb, Maxine will attend conferences and trade shows as wells as assist with webinars focusing on the company’s new front end software applications and other services. “I am excited to be a part of the Hollis Cobb family, and it is my goal to be an asset to the marketing team as well as to healthcare providers,” Maxine said. “From the moment I walked in the door at Hollis Cobb to begin my training, everyone has treated me like a member of the family,” she added.
Former NAHAM Ambassador
Anyone who has attended events sponsored by NAHAM (National Association of Healthcare Access Management) in the last 30 years knows Maxine. She has served as a Southeast Regional Delegate, Board Member, Vice President, President, Past President and Ambassador of the organization, which provides education for Patient Access Managers. Maxine was instrumental in the creation of the CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager certification) and the CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate certification), both designations that she currently holds, along with an Associates in Business Administration. A supporter of continuing education for healthcare professionals, Maxine has proctored over 2,000 people during her time with NAHAM, as well as served as a presenter on a variety of healthcare topics for NAHAM and other professional organizations. Maxine is known for her great sense of humor and strong desire to help people progress in their healthcare careers.
Patient Access Experience
As a young professional making her way in the healthcare finance world, Maxine started her career as an admitting clerk at a hospital near her hometown of Clinton, Tennessee, west of Knoxville. She quickly moved up the ladder to become a manager and eventually Director of the hospital’s Patient Access Department. During her years on the provider side, Maxine served as president of the Tennessee Association Healthcare Access Managers (TAHAM). She is known for mentoring her young employees, helping them grow in their careers and encouraging them to seek certifications in their fields.
A Rocky Top Singing Tennessee Vol Fan
The baby of six children, and daughter of a deputy sheriff, Maxine continues to make her home in Clinton, Tennessee where she resides with her husband of 35 years. They live near their two children and three grandchildren with whom they enjoy spending time at the beach and in the mountains of Tennessee. Maxine is an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan during both football and basketball seasons, often locking horns with her husband who roots for the Kentucky Wildcats. A believer in giving back to the community, Maxine served for many years as a volunteer deputy sheriff in Anderson County, Tennessee, and is active in her local church. She loves to sing “Rocky Top,” and with enough coaxing, the Hollis Cobb team may get her to sing at the next NAHAM conference!
